Woot! I see a multitude of dust settled already on foxin.blogspot.com and it's not a pleasant sight @ all!
But then again... How could you expect a NSF to have time? Haha! (What a way to ditch responsibilities.)
Let me kick start with one thought then...
" Women + Uniform = Good regimentation? " Discretion needed here :)
Somehow the common stereotype is "Man" are generally the domineering pack and while "woman", taking side to of more nurturing.
So what do we have here? I do have a Captain apparently, woman of course, taking charge of a vital department for discipline and regiment. And my doubt wasn't that much on her being capable to tame the wild animals in the zoo (that's what I would like to describe my camp) but more of the method being applied here.
But I must agree that I do have testimony of ladies resembling a tiger and like, and I must make a point to be distant with such people. Mainly because I do fall into the "animals" category sometimes :P
Alright alright! Now that my eyes set sight on the driving training booklet,
Notice that the enrollment date was somehow near!!
Greez!
Well... Now on the final stage of my driving and my TP practical test is on 5th July 08. Actually was kind of regret to take up this date:
Strike 1
Because I was offered 3th to 15th July. I chose 5th because it was on a Saturday. However, I realise if I took 6th, following that I could pass on my first attempt (Which I pray darn hard for!), the date imprinted on the license will be 6/7/08. RUNNING SEQUENCE!!!
Strike 2
I really wish that I could get my test date that is well aligned with my birthday! Darn! And I miss by that little. Dot actually has it on 24th, which somehow was the closest and despite the fact she start off later than I do. Should have take more lesson back then...
Strike 3
If I am not able to pass on my first attempt. The forecast damage will be a total of S$207.96. The TP test cost plus my PDL that expires on 24th July 2008. Pressurizing!

Man! I'm definitely not good at handling stress and pressure I guess... Given that I am such a lay-back person.
But there's good news also! I could finally go to Church on weekends now! No more screw up work schedule that has random day as rest, no more hard ground duty that seems like pointless and no more forfeiting of public holidays! YES! 'BYE' to ROTA and 'HI' to OFFICE HOUR!
Never felt so relieve for quite some time now and it relinquishes and affirm my commitment to serve God and His fellow Sons (boys and girls).
Now with this peace of mind, I could finally say: "SURE! I'M FREE!" rather then "Hmm... I have to check with my work schedule." Pathetic.
The funny part was this..
I had this conversation with Jono when he soon enlist as a clerk on mid June last year:
Simon: "eh.. why you drop to pes E? Stupid la!"
Jono : "My back loh, better what! Clerk is good."
"Oh.. come on man! Clerk work is like super boring, sit for hours and get piles and sometimes get arrow for nothing. I rather be in commando or NDU for some action."
"aiya.. Just serve 2 years and finish off lo."
"No man! NS is like 2 years of advanture you will never get to do with your normal routine life as a civilian. I want to do more then just sitting in office man! I can do all that when I join the working World."
"I think my vocation is fine la. Clerk only what."
"If I EVER be doing office work, I rather AWOL or kill myself ... ... ..."
And guess what... Here I am going on office hour and office job for NS. Hehe...
