It's been a great day out as 9th May 2007 is TP's first ever LM(Life Meeting)! Being task to be a game-master for the ice-breaker and games of the LM is really a pump of adrenaline, a step in faith and also a brain squashing good time. Why? Because it is seriously not my forte to come up with games (Especially ice-breaker) and that I have not been doing it for a very long time! Man! I have to come up with 2 games that is suppose to introduce a time of "warming" up and also a platform of introduction to bridge across from year 2's, 3's to those freshmans.
As easy as it might sound... This portfolio actually demands you to be creative. The games must be interactive, fun and does not stand "cold" when something happen out of plan. It also requires to be able to have people mingling and no one is left out to sit in and forget about the whole existance of that person. Lastly, it also need to potray that TPCCC is a fun group yet not too wild. (Now I start to see that I might be thinking too much) Anyway...
The turn-out is fun! Though we only have one game of its own, we did manage to make everyone come together and that the supporting of the TP-ians were great hep too! Praise God! Thank you so much for that passion and willing to be hype :)
And of course, as usual I will have a hard time trying to get use to new people around and also their name, not forgetting not to scare them away with things that we might over-do sometimes because we are comfortable with each other.
But than again, I notice that TP apprently have the same line-up as RP now. In RP, we have a blend of people from intellectual to wild, from "backstage" supporting role to extremly hyper people. TP do have that mix too! The freshman were hype up also! In my small group today, there is 2 such people who pass it as "I thank God for Christian group like this so that we could have fellow brothers and sisters in Christ."
One of them actually said: "I wanted to go to SP because there is such a group there, but to my suprise. TP did have the same group too! Praise God"
Another said: "I prayed for God's favour everyday and that when I came to this school, I was looking for fellow Christian or such."
Wow! What a testimony! And it deeply encourage me how much a simple prayer could turn out to be such a wonderful practical scene before you. I mean... We did prayed for passionate freshies and God deliever it to us! Now that I will need to pray for more guys for RP as guys in RP is really facing extinction soon enough.
Well... Here's part 2 video for the TP welcome tea... It's actually a closing video and it is done under 10 min despite the short notice. Praise God! Enjoy!
