"xxon" was the word. Hope it's clear
Tuesday was the day of the full moon! Mid - Autumn Festival !! Although I still couldn't quite know how to answer the question "Why celebrate mid-autumn when Singapore is Summer all year long?" But I called this day "burning" festival! Why? Cause you get the "license" to burn anything from lanterns to sparkles, from paper to what ever you could find. Not that much about arson actually... Don't get me wrong. I'm no fire-brat.. Hehe
That evening was out with some Sachos to swimming... Althought physically we were there, my heart wasn't that much into swimming and was very eager to get out of the water and start some burning!!! (Man! I'm like some pyro-boy or something) Grabbed my bags.. showered and had a quick dinner while some more people from my youth ministry; Xxon were making their way down.
If you couldn't figure out.. It's a star actually~
Almost.. 15 people showed up? Thats alot and we headed down to the nearby Yishun park for some festive-mood-burning session... But I must really say that the air quality on that day was like... bad? It's really bad man! PSI level 190 ??? Everywhere was so smoky and you even get random shots of "artillary" from neighbouring group trying to throw burning sprakle that resembles shooting stars.
And also random loud sudden bang of "self-made" firework that might have consist of mostly lighters I guess. And also some "poofing" of multiple bundles of sparkles to create a kinda I-am-poofing-like-david cooperfield kinda effect. But it's nice though~ Could see quite a spectrum of colors...
I kinda like this pix man
The night is pretty fun and I sort of found out SO MUCH about my camera... And was pretty amazed by how many different things my camera does. Thank God for such a good buy man! Sony DSC -T20 anyway.. And of course much fun with food like moon cake (oh! I ate the most moon cake out of so many year.. 2 big one! And I use to nv like moon cake), people and also trying to take random pixs of ppl and also the MOON!
Looks more like day-break right?
I prefer this more then the rest
Have to practically lie down on the grass to try taking the different shots of the moon. Kinda cool though... Didn't tried to be so enthu about taking photos b4. Quite fun though~
