I'm blessed being in SCDF (in a way) by having to enter into the "Fit" squad of Charlie Company (I reckon that's where the whole of Pes A and B gather)... Having to have some of the few best instructor (Apparently kind too) to lead the company... Was given attention by practically everyone in the whole lot of BRTC (Basic Rescue Training Center) and that was chosen to be in the No.1 course, the ERS (Emergency Response Specialist) course.
Got rid of the rank "Recruit" upon the 4th day of entering the force.
Ironically...
Got into the course somehow by what I thought was "assumption" selection (As almost ALL of the selected ppl comes from my platoon) and was declared OOC (Out Of Course) after 4 days upon admission.
And that the training was a HELL lot of difference as compared to the ones I am having in BRTC. Much much much more better...
The thing is... Back in CDA (Civil Defence Academy) while on ERS course, the place is really.. calssy. And that the people there were some sort of "higher" degree sort of ppl, seemingly you're a cut above the rest as compared to the BRTC trainee. Not much focus were being place on "rubbish" duties like random duties like washing of toilet, canteen, running around aimlessly, sitting around and wait for instruction.
Now back here in BRTC... Some how I felt that I'm back to "lowly" life now as I got arrowed to do some area cleaning for the canteen; cleaning up some mess left behind by some other fellow trainee from other company.
And the ppl there are... crude. Some how.. I felt it that way.. And the BEST THING! I was placed in a bunk full of "prison break" scenerio. Ppl flashing their upper naked body filled with tatoos all over the place. To my horror, I was suppose to be there for the rest of the remaining 5 weeks. Oh man!
